Assisted Living | The Bridge | Memory Care

Inspired outings and experiences.

You are unique, and every choice you make is personal. Whether you choose a sunrise yoga class, a stroll in the park, a virtual reality excursion, or fireside cocktails up on the roof, the choice is up to you. There is one thing you can be sure of: whatever experience you decide on, it will be exceptional.

A Pilates class in our movement studio, a painting class in our art studio, a shared pizza dinner with family or friends around the open-hearth oven at Great Falls, there is always something to do, somewhere to go, and a friendly community of peers to share it with at The Providence.

Our 24-hour concierge is always here to help book theater and restaurant reservations, curate local excursions (perhaps a day trip to the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, D.C.?), in-house spa or other activities. Whatever personal journey you choose, at The Providence, there will always be many more to choose from.

Our award-winning roster of classes and award-winning educational symposiums extends over our seven pillars of wellness–spiritual, emotional, vocational, physical, social, environmental, and intellectual.

From meditation to music instruction, wine pairing or foreign language instruction, the scope of offerings will exceed the wilds of your imagination. There are Watermark University programs available to residents at all levels of care, including access to online memory programs available through the UCLA Longevity Center.

With a vibrant cultural community at our doorstep, our Extraordinary Outings and curated excursions offer a wide range of opportunities for enrichment–and fun! The metro station nearby provides access to downtown Washington, D.C. monuments and museums. Wolftrap National Park for the Performing Arts is nearby, and the Meadowlark Botanical Garden is a beautiful backdrop for a garden tour or stroll.

A short distance away, discover upscale restaurants and shopping, miles of nature trails at Fairfax County parks, and for sports fans, there is always something going on at George Mason University. As comedian Gilda Radner once said, “If it’s not one thing, it’s another.” The point is, there is always something truly special to do.

Our unique virtual reality program not only provides exceptional entertainment, it also helps stimulate and strengthen the mind. EngageVR virtually transports residents to exciting destinations that feel absolutely real. These are breathtaking journeys without borders or boundaries–take part in the Apollo 11 moon landing or trek in the African bush surrounded by elephants and zebra on safari.
